Kevin D. Clardy, DDS
Meet Dr. Clardy
Kevin grew up in Irving, TX and graduated from Irving High School in 1983. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1987 with a Zoology major and a Chemistry minor. He was accepted into all three dental schools in the state, but chose the Dental School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, TX, graduating in 1991. He was accepted into the school’s General Practice Residency post-doctoral program, which included a year at the San Antonio campus and a year at Scott and White in Temple. During this two year program he received expanded training in oral surgery, trauma, pediatric dentistry as well as sedation dentistry. Dr. Clardy obtained his state board certification in IV sedation and holds Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificates as well as all permits for parenteral IV sedation, enteral oral conscious sedation, and nitrous oxide anesthesia. He completed the program in 1993 and moved to Brownwood, where he opened his practice in February of 1994. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Heart of Texas District Dental Society.
Kevin met his wife, Serita (Bennie) while they were attending Texas Tech and were married in 1988. She grew up in Bangs, so they knew the area well and wanted to raise their children in a smaller town. Serita graduated from Texas Tech University in 1987 with a BA in Finance. She was a commercial loan officer while the couple lived in San Antonio. She has served as the office manager since the practice opened in 1994. Their daughter Kendra graduated from Early High School and went on to graduate from Texas Tech University with a degree in Natural Resource Management and a minor in Animal Science. She has worked as an Environmental Biologist/Project Manager for two environmental consulting companies. She and her husband live in Indiana and she is currently a stay at home mom to Kevin and Serita’s first grandchild. Their son Keith also graduated from Early High School as well as from Texas Tech University with a degree in Industrial Engineering and a Mathematics minor. He and his wife live in the Austin area where he works as an engineer at a semiconductor facility.
Kevin and Serita loved being active and supportive in their kid’s activities during their school aged years, athletics and stock showing as well as Boy Scouts where Kevin served as assistant Scout Master. They continue to enjoy traveling, hiking and seeing different parts of the United States. Kevin and Serita are members of their local church and have family and close friends they enjoy spending time with.
